The six residential buildings in via Todisco Grande are the second part of the urban planning of ‘maglia 127 ’ of Bisceglie. Their disposition is orthogonal to the new road whose realization completes the road network of the urban compound. It determines, with its curvilinear shape, the different lengths of the buildings.
The thickness of the buildings is equal to the distance between them. This choice, allowed by the urban plan regulations, sets the empty / full rhythm which is the major theme of the fronts characterized by red balconies protruding onto the street. In this way a virtual front linking the six buildings is created. In the courtyard the houses open into large galleries. Some of the local traditional elements (balconies and lodges) and the choice of colours (warm colour tone of the stones to the lower areas, white colour for the upper ones and red) give a structural unity to the urban requalification project.
